Computer Centre
DTU has a well-equipped centralized computer centre to cater to the needs of students and faculty in the university. It is housed, in a magnificent state-of-the-art building having specialized laboratories to provide variety of platforms and computing environment for UG , PG and research students.

The centre possesses a number of servers and over 200 Dell intel core i5 computer systems. In addition the centre has more than 15 servers hosting different applications such as websites & portals , SPSS, Mathematica , MatLab , DNS , LDAP, proxy, Email services , Network Monitoring System (NMS) etc. and 4 SUN CAD workstations meant for use by UG/PG/PhD students for their projects and research work. The centre is fully networked through high-end intelligent Avaya & CISCO switches , and possesses round the clock 1 Gbps NKN leased line , ISDN and a 50 Mbps leased line in a different pipe for the LAN wired & Wi-Fi connectivity for the academic, administrative and hostel blocks of the campus, with internet facilities on all the nodes. It also has the latest versions of compilers, scientific, technical and engineering software, training kits etc. for the students of different branches of engineering. 

Computer programming is an integral part of B.Tech./M.Tech./Ph.D. programs. Besides computer centre is also used for conduct of short term training programs for staff and faculty. Computer Centre provides windows software to its users through the Microsoft Open Value Subcription Agreement for Education Solutions . Licensed Windows software under this agreement can be installed in Institute machines for use by all faculty, students and staff of DTU . DTU is also the nodal academy for information storage and management solutions through its DTU-EMC Academy that conducts training programs at Computer centre for faculty of all the engineering institutions.

DTU computer centre presently has around 200 computers connected into LAN in two floors providing internet access and programming facilities to all software related laboratories of all the departments of the college, predominantly CSE, ECE, EE and Maths departments. 

All academic buildings, library, administrative blocks, residential buildings, and all the hostels of DTU are connected using optical fibre links and around 95 Wi Fi access points.
