 Sports have always been an integral part of Delhi Technological University, fostering teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills among our students. DTU Sports Council is dedicated to promoting and supporting sports activities on campus, and is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to participate and excel in their chosen sport. The students participate in AIU competitions in sports section. The DTU administration takes special care to uplift the sports facility in the University.
The introduction of sports as Foundation Elective Subjects (FEC-1, FEC-2, FEC-3) has helped in engaging students in various physical activities and promoted the spirit of fitness around the campus. Students opting for this subject witness better stress management which also helps in maintaining a good psychological balance. They learn to compete, lead and identify their true talents, while earning 2 credits for the subject. This subject has also helped the coaches and teams in recognising deserving talent and sharpen their skills.
The Department of Physical Education & Sports organises national level events in the university. The students of the University participate and compete in National and International level tournaments. I look forward to sharing news and updates for our Sports Events and Achievements, highlighting the exceptional talents our students in different games, and encouraging more students to get involved in sports activities. Through the collective efforts of Sports Council, DTU can build a strong and vibrant sports culture that enriches the institutional experience for everyone.
