2. Assessment and Classification of Prevalence of Flat Feet using Plantar Pressure Images
• A three-day campaign (15-17 April 2026) jointly organized by the Centre for Sports Research, Analytics and Rehabilitation and the Department of Software Engineering.
• A total of 283 students were evaluated (73 on 15 April 2026, 112 on 16 April 2026, 98 on 17 April 2026).
• Conducted using a four-step process: registration and data collection, plantar pressure evaluation, photograph/record management, and medical examination and prescription.
• Paperless feature: The Department conducted the campaign in a completely paperless manner, i.e., all results, images, and records generated during the process were maintained digitally in one Google Drive folder only, showing how efficient and accurate the department was at conducting this campaign. It was found that many students had flat feet without their knowledge.
• Also included a drive for spreading awareness with a Kahoot-based quiz with prizes for the top three participants.
• Medical examination and prescriptions were conducted by Dr. Kapil Bhardwaj, while Prof. Ruchika Malhotra presided over the campaign.
