Message from HOD
It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Delhi Technological University. Over the last few decades, we have grown our expertise and competence in the core Electrical Engineering curriculum and research. We have one regular undergraduate program in B.Tech. Electrical Engineering, including a B. Tech (Evening) program for working professionals. At the postgraduate level, we offer M. Tech. Power Systems, M.Tech. Control and Instrumentation, M.Tech. Power Electronics and Systems and Ph.D. program in major areas of Electrical Engineering. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical knowledge to students and promote their problem solving skills for innovation of new technologies. Electrical Engineering Department offers large number of electives courses for providing wide spectrum of options to the students to pursue their interest. The course contents are periodically updated for introducing new scientific and technological developments. The Department also introduced minor area of study for students of B.Tech. program to gain in-depth knowledge in the emerging areas of machine learning for IOT systems, power electronics and renewable energy systems. We have state of the art research facilities to support our academic programs and research. The department has an emphasis on Out Come Based (OBE) education in Engineering and Technology.

Electrical Engineering department has an excellent record in teaching, research, and consultancy. Faculty members have very good academic credentials and are highly motivated. Several faculty members serve on the editorial boards of national and international journals, review technical articles for journals on a regular basis, and organize international symposia and conferences. We warmly welcome our alumni to join hands in supporting our aspirations by all means of interaction. Our doors are always open to universities, research organizations, industries, and utility companies to collaborate with us in building knowledge society to visualize bright future.
